THE ANSE MAJOR HIKE

This hike is an absolute must when visiting the island of Mahé. To begin, drive to the following coordinates: -4.619290181755975, 55.398297289535826. Park your car along the roadside—this is where your adventure begins!

The trail is clearly marked with arrows along the way, even showing how much distance remains. Early in the hike, you’ll reach a stunning viewpoint with a bench where you can pause and soak in the breathtaking scenery. After a short break, continue along the trail, keeping your eyes open for more spectacular views.

Toward the end, you’ll walk about 10 minutes through a wooded area before arriving at paradise: a secluded beach with crystal-clear water. Find a cozy spot on the sand, grab a drink at the charming beach bar, and don’t forget your snorkel—there’s a vibrant underwater world waiting to be explored.

After a relaxing half-day at the beach, you can calmly retrace your steps back to the car, enjoying the beautiful views all over again. Pure bliss from start to finish.
